Learn how to make kimchi and sauerkraut with locals Kelly and Catherine from Pukerua Bay Fermentation Club.

Salt, sugar and fish sauce and gochugaru chilli flakes for kimchi and caraway seeds for the sauerkraut will be supplied.

If everyone contributes a couple fresh vege/fruit ingredients to share, we will have some options to play with on the day...

Ingredients include:

  • Green/red cabbage / savoy cabbage / Chinese cabbage

  • Daikon/chinese radish

  • Red chillies

  • Apple

  • Mushrooms

  • Carrots

  • Ginger / Onion / Garlic

This session is a fun fundraiser for Pukerua Bay Hub.

Cost: $10 per person - Book now! and you will head away with jars of beautiful kimchi and sauerkraut to continue the fermentation process at home. Kids welcome to join but will require their own ticket and must be supervised by a caregiver at all times.
