Weaving with harakeke native flax
Local weaver Ara Swanney will teach about harvesting and preparing harakeke (native flax) into strips ready to weave. The class will then weave their choice of a simple basket (konae) or flower (putiputi).
What - 2 hr workshop
When - 11am-1pm on Tuesday 16 September 2025
Where - St Marks, 98 Rāwhiti Road, Pukerua Bay (opposite school)
Cost - $30 per person.
What to bring? Just yourselves - All tools and materials are supplied.
