Pukerua Bay Crop Swap

  • Wairaka Road Playground 8B Wairaka Road Porirua, Wellington Region, 5026 New Zealand (map)

Bring what you have and swap for what you need.

We set up at 3pm at the RSA or at Wairaka Park across the road, depending on the weather. We start with a karakia around 3:15pm, followed by informal introductions of our produce and story/event info sharing. Then we swap to our hearts content.

We hope you enjoy our relaxed, village atmosphere and make some new friends in the process. We welcome people from all places, not just locals, and we look forward to having you join us!

Tea and coffee will be self serve throughout the event and the bar will be open afterwards at 4:30 pm at the RSA for anyone who would like to linger to help tidy up and swap gardening/baking/discovery stories.

P.S. Please come along even if you have nothing to share that week. Swapping is not limited to home grown plants and anything 'garden and home' is welcome.

A recycling drop off will be available for clean lids, batteries, tinfoil etc. See here for more details: https://www.pukeruabay.org.nz/community.../waste-free-pkb/

Crop Swapping and recycling are sustainability focused events supported by Kāpiti Crop Swap, the Pukerua Bay Climate Action Group, Waste Free Pukerua Bay and a local sustainability business My Bihome.
