What's on this year?
ART STARS
We will provide cardboard stars for you to decorate and some art materials. You can bring your design ideas and any special things you'd like to use on your creation - we encourage new ideas, perhaps you can bring found objects or "waste" in your design.
If you choose to, leave your star with us to be put on display at the Matariki Celebration on 27 June!
URURANGI ART INSTALLATION
Our amazing local librarian Zeta needs your help! She is developing an immersive artwork for our Matariki Celebration made by the community. Materials provided - just head along to join in and she will be there to help.
SOUND SCAPE COLLECTIONS
Artist Zoë will joining the drop in to record nature sounds for her interactive motion art projection. Perfect for tamariki and rangatahi interested in tech and graphic design. Join her for a walk through some of the local bush trails to do the recordings, then see how they are developed into visuals, times TBC.

Kids must be supervised by a parent or caregiver. Please make sure to bring some snacks to keep you fuelled up!
Matariki lantern-making is scheduled for earlier in the day (10:30-12pm) as a separate event so we can get an idea of numbers.
