ANZAC DAY CELEBRATIONS
The celebration serves as a day to acknowledge all those who have died in warfare, and honours returned servicemen and women.
Please find below our commemorative program of events for ANZAC Day 2026, we hope you can join us.
8am - "Stand to" at RSA Club rooms, 5-7 Wairaka Road. At 8am sharp we will conduct a short ceremony to start the ANZAC Day commemorations. We will gather around the flag pole where flag will be raised, Binyon's lines will be recited and the Last Post and Reveille will be played. Following the short ceremony, light refreshments will be served in the club rooms.
11am - Community Remembrance Service at St Marks, Rawhiti Road, Pukerua Bay. Graeme Ogilvie will conduct the service.
12 Noon - Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Wall of Remembrance, Whenua Tapu Cemetery, Airlie Road. Our formal commemorations conclude with a short service including recitation of Binyon's Lines, playing of the Last Post and Reveille and the laying of wreaths by the combined North @Wellington RSA’s, local service personnel and civil dignitaries.
Following the formal parts of the day, from around 11:30am, the RSA Clubrooms in Wairaka Road will be open for companionship and the serving of refreshments.
We would welcome any contributions of baking dropped off from 7.30am on the day.
